Our play this year told the true story of how the carol 'Silent Night' came to be written.

The action took place in the Austrian village of Oberndorf, so there were alot of braces, some thigh slapping and even a yodelling song!

The story tells how the church mice nibbled a hole in the organ bellows on Christmas Eve, which meant that there was no music for the Nativity Play.

Father Joseph Mohr struggles to write a poem about that first Christmas Night, and the village school master Franz Gruber composed some music to go with it, which he played on his guitar.

And so 'Silent Night' came to be written.

And so the children's nativity play was performed as the snow storm in the village.

As you can see, our play involved some talented actors, lively songs (including several solos and duets) and beautiful dancing!

Another enjoyable performance for the audience, as well as the performers!
