Writing
Developing Confident and Successful Writers
We are committed to helping all children become confident, fluent and effective writers. From the earliest stages of learning, we will focus on developing strong transcription skills, vocabulary, sentence construction and a love of writing. Through high-quality teaching and meaningful opportunities to write across the curriculum, children will build the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to communicate their ideas successfully.
What this will mean for our pupils:
- Strong foundations in writing are developed from the earliest years.
- Children grow in confidence when expressing their ideas through writing.
- Pupils write with increasing independence, accuracy and stamina.

Mathematics
Developing Mathematical Fluency Through Mastery
We will continue to develop a mastery approach to mathematics, ensuring that children build secure mathematical understanding and confidence. By developing fluency in number and calculation, children will be able to reason mathematically, solve problems and apply their learning effectively in a range of contexts.

Early Years
Enhancing Play-Based Learning and Continuous Provision
We will continue to develop our high-quality Early Years provision through purposeful play, rich learning environments and skilled adult interactions. By carefully designing indoor and outdoor learning opportunities, we will ensure children are engaged, challenged and inspired to become curious, independent learners.
